Just tell them there’s oil on it" That's probably one of the most hilarious statements I've heard in a long time,lol.. Personally I'm in two minds regarding privatising manned space flight. I think it's a great move to allow us mere mortals to entrepreneur our engineering capabilities and with the freedom of government constrains, (Space-X) being a good example. Thought the main issue here I feel is the safety and trust regarding their designs, companies like Space-X and others have all had failures and there man rated systems have not been fully tested and matured. Privatizing manned space flight had to happen some time and it might as well be now it's just that it's a "bold step into the dark" a liken to tiring to build a jumbo jet in the 1920's and 30's. Sure it was in the drawing board but it needed a long term technical development with progressively larger aircraft and power plants and it wasn't until the late 50's to mid 60's when this was achieved. People need to craw before they walk and walk before they run! Lets hope that Space-X's Dragon spacecraft doesn't turn out to be the next Challenger!
